Instantaneous Gratification
I was basically gifted an SX-70 by the gracious man who goes the name Polaroid Jay. When it was handed to me I was elated, filled with excitement and possibilities of what I can create with this camera that has its own cult following. It was instant gratification while waiting 10-40 minutes for the frame to fully develop. Perfect or ugly each frame just had so much magic to it.
Vanessa and Jadie
Decided to go all out Vanessa and Jadie wanted to drink coffee, eat, walk around the city and end the day off the coast for their engagement. The self proclaimed awkward couple turned out to be naturals in posing and looking good for their photos.
Having A Vision
It all starts with a vision for creating something. So when Selah, a designer, was asking for a product shoot I was down. This past Friday we headed to the beach to photograph scarves and to be honest I wouldn’t know how to make scarves look cool. Good thing Selah knew already what she wanted. Working with individuals who know what they want not only makes the job easier but it makes it a lot more fun. There is something about working with people who has a vision for a project and that’s something that pushes me to continue to make projects for myself and being open with clients who have an idea.
I Don't Know Where to Start...
I’ve had the chance to work with Sara to photograph a few outfits to help her start her blog. I wanted to get the ball rolling with this project rather than leaving it as a conversation. One of the hardest things to do is to start something yourself with no set direction. I’ve worked with people who are going into unknown territories of new careers or updating their brand. Creating images for projects like these drives my passion to become a photographer. I love working with people who want to express their passion and I believe photos can do that. Having gone through this myself, I want to take the opportunity to collaborate with you in getting started in your new blog, career or just updating what you already have. Let's work together.
Amanda and Gabe: Engagement at San Francisco
I became great friends with Amanda and Gabe when I first met them. When I heard that Gabe proposed to Amanda I was really excited to shoot for their engagement. They were ready to hit up the city for the day of the shoot. Waking up early to catch the sun rise at Pier 7, fighting the wind near the Golden Gate Bridge, and finally relaxing at the top of Bernal Heights. I'm so happy for these two.
